Hybrid 3x/week in McLean, Virginia Office
Join our longstanding client's dynamic team as a Consumer Lending Business Analyst and become an integral part of our innovative strategy and operational initiatives. In this impactful role, you'll analyze business processes, system workflows, and performance metrics to revolutionize our loan origination journey and drive success across our lending ecosystem.
Your Impact
β’ Transform our lending operations by analyzing and documenting current-state workflows from application to funding, identifying opportunities for innovation, automation, and enhanced customer experience
β’ Showcase your analytical expertise by translating complex business challenges into clear functional and technical requirements that drive meaningful solutions
β’ Champion project success by crafting compelling user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, and comprehensive use case documentation
β’ Build collaborative partnerships across product, credit, compliance, operations, and servicing teams to align strategic goals and business priorities
β’ Spearhead initiatives that elevate the loan origination process, including application intake, underwriting, processing, verification, and funding
β’ Partner with data and reporting teams to define powerful metrics and intuitive dashboards that reveal key lending performance insights (e.g., approval rates, funnel conversion)
β’ Ensure flawless implementation by leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and issue resolution during system deployments
β’ Create and maintain exceptional documentation and reporting standards that drive clarity and efficiency
Your Qualifications

β’ Bachelor's Degree in related field required, advanced degree preferred
β’ Minimum 3 years of business or operations analyst experience in the consumer lending space (e.g., BNPL, Credit Cards, Auto Lending), where you've made a measurable impact
β’ Comprehensive understanding of the loan origination process, including credit evaluation, KYC/AML, income and ID verification, and funding
β’ Proven experience working with lending platforms, loan management systems, and third-party integrations (e.g., bank aggregators, fraud tools)
β’ Demonstrated ability to build and optimize data sets and queries within data platforms like Snowflake
β’ Exceptional communication skills with a talent for influencing stakeholders and building consensus
β’ Technical proficiency with SQL, Excel, and BI platforms (Tableau, Looker) to unlock data-driven insights
β’ Experience with collaboration tools like Jira and Confluence to drive project efficiency
β’ Success working in agile or hybrid project environments, adapting quickly to changing priorities
