Primary Job Title: Business Analyst Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Data Governance Analyst • Compliance Data Analyst • Financial Crimes Business Analyst Location: Mount Laurel, NJ Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid (1 day onsite weekly, may increase in 2026) Contract Details: • Position Type: Contract • Contract Duration: 3.5 months • Start: As Soon As Possible • Pay Rate: $70 - $75/hr • Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed Job Summary: The Business Analyst will support the Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) Data Governance team at a leading North American bank. This role involves collaboration with business and IT partners to design, monitor, and enhance data quality controls, governance standards, and lineage documentation. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and technical skills and has experience working in banking or financial compliance environments.Key Responsibilities: • Liaise with data stewards, IT, and business teams to define and document key data quality metrics. • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions. • Monitor adherence to data governance policies, standards, and controls. • Support metadata management, data cataloging, and automation of controls. • Provide business and technical support across FCRM data governance and quality initiatives. • Assist with requirement gathering, data lineage mapping, and documentation. • Contribute to continuous process improvement and data quality initiatives. Required Experience: • Bachelor’s degree required. • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data governance or financial crime compliance. • Experience working in banking or financial services. • Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, and data quality principles. Nice-to-Have Experience: • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Agile/JIRA environments. • Familiarity with Tableau for visualization and reporting. • Prior exposure to financial crime compliance or risk management frameworks.
