Overview: This Business Analyst 3 position will support Transmission Technology Work Planning & Delivery (TTBP) organization. This position will work with the TTBP Project Manager (PM) to develop and draft associated documentation required for Control Center (CC) projects and Cyber Security Improvement Program area support. The Business Analyst position will also provide recommendations to business stakeholders and project teams to facilitate gathering and analyzing information using standard tools and approaches to clarify business operations, functions, gap analysis, document/map the current and future states, identify solution alternatives, evaluate the alternatives, and define processes. Expert level technical writing skills will be needed to produce the final artifacts and deliverables required on the project(s) and for system O&M, such as ITIL support service processes, system design/configuration, data integration, system support, and cyber security documentation. REQUIREMENTS Education & Corresponding Experience: • A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science (or a closely related field) is preferred. • 8 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor’s degree. • 10 years of experience is required with an applicable associate degree. • 12 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree. • Experience should include direct work experience as a business analyst, business system analyst, strategic business partner or equivalent. Business analysis experience should be progressively more technical in nature. Required Technical Skills & Experience: • 5 years of experience applying methodology to process improvement and optimization efforts across multiple business units within a defined enterprise. • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts. • Experience in supporting full lifecycle of projects through the IT Systems Development Lifecycle. • Technical interview skills sufficient to facilitate group process design/requirements gathering sessions in a business environment. • Intermediate proficiency in Visio (flowcharts), MS Project, and SharePoint. Preferred Skills & Experience: • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. • Experience with Application Migration Projects. • Demonstrated experience with project and change management approaches, tools, and phases. • Experience with the Prosci methodology for Change Management. • Experience working in a Project Management Office. • Experience delivering projects with Cyber security and/or compliance requirements (ex: NERC-CIP, FISMA and NIST). • IT project and program management experience within an Information Technology or Operational Technology environment.
