Role description
Role Purpose We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in driving transformation across procurement, fleet, and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will capture and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, ensuring new services, system enhancements, and process improvements are delivered with measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Requirements & Process Analysis β€’ Gather, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for new or enhanced services. β€’ Map current and future-state processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities. β€’ Analyse data flows across core systems (Oracle, SAP, Causeway, Tradex), ensuring alignment with procurement processes and reporting requirements. β€’ Prioritise requirements using standard approaches such as MoSCoW. Documentation & Deliverables β€’ Produce Business and Functional Requirement Documents, Process Maps, Statements of Work, and Business Cases. β€’ Support test planning, including UAT design, script preparation, and execution. β€’ Provide pre- and post-implementation support, including issue management, user adoption, and handover to operations. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement β€’ Run workshops and interviews with stakeholders and subject matter experts to capture needs and validate solutions. β€’ Work with IT, Procurement, and Architecture teams to align business needs with enterprise roadmaps, service portfolios, and existing solutions. β€’ Partner with service owners, IT leaders, and external vendors on solution design, business case development, and functional specifications. β€’ Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across multiple levels, effectively challenging and influencing where required. Change & Delivery Support β€’ Contribute to project initiation and governance forums, ensuring business requirements remain central to solution delivery. β€’ Provide input into change management and training plans to support business adoption of new processes and tools. β€’ Support resource planning for Business Analysis input across project lifecycles. Essential Skills & Experience β€’ Proven track record as a Business Analyst within large-scale transformation programmes, ideally in procurement or supply chain domains. β€’ Strong background in requirements gathering, process modelling, and business process mapping. β€’ Experience working with procurement ERP systems and data structures, with knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or equivalent platforms. β€’ Ability to analyse complex datasets and convert findings into actionable insights. β€’ Hands-on experience of process design/orchestration using tools such as WebMethods, TIBCO, or similar. β€’ Solid understanding of Agile practices, with practical experience applying BA techniques in agile environments. β€’ Knowledge of analysis frameworks such as RUP and UML. β€’ Experience supporting pre- and post-implementation phases of projects, particularly in high-volume transactional environments. β€’ Familiarity with ITIL, SIAM, and service/product thinking principles. β€’ Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
