Job Overview: Various technology and innovation projects that directly impact the daily operations of DPS to achieve Agency missions, goals, and objectives. Support current DPS projects and priorities in the facilitation of gathering themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria and analysis of existing requirements documentation. Directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, compliance with applicable statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities. Facilitate project development and quality assurance discussions on gathering story points to use for a predictive level of effort model. Deliverables: Creating themes/epics/user stories/acceptance criteria according to Agency standards. Convert existing use cases to actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira. Analyze existing process documentation and document potential opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. Support development and implementation of various initiatives. EXPERIENCE- Required Qualifications & Skills: 4 Years: In the field or related technology field as senior level Business Analyst. 3 Years: Working knowledge of Agile project management methodology/practices. 1 Year: Understanding and documentation of use cases. 1 Year: Process documentation mapping. Contract Details: The primary work location(s) will be at 5805 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Remote. Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Department of Public Safety. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. Services are expected to start 09/15/2025 and are expected to complete by 09/14/2026. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 750 hours.
