Business Analytics Analyst (W2 Only – No C2C)
📍 New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
🕒 6-Month Contract (Possibility of Extension)
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analytics Analyst to support a leading banking client in their centralized data analytics and control initiatives. This role will play a key part in improving the firm’s ability to assess and remediate data quality issues across the organization, with a strong focus on data governance, metrics, and analytics.
You’ll be joining a cross-functional team responsible for delivering dashboards, managing data remediation, and providing insights that reduce operational risk and improve controls across markets-related business lines.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Support development of analytics capabilities to identify and resolve data quality issues
• Create actionable dashboards and reports using Tableau
• Develop data and feature specifications in collaboration with tech teams
• Analyze and interpret trends in data quality indicators to drive business decisions
• Lead/co-lead UAT testing and support feature rollouts
• Provide hands-on technical analysis support for risk and control initiatives
• Proactively identify and resolve risks and escalate issues as needed
• Collaborate across global teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
✅ Must-Have Skills:
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with data analytics, implementation, and remediation
• Strong knowledge of data governance, metrics, and quality controls
• Proficiency in SQL, JIRA, and Tableau for reporting & dashboarding
• Working experience with Python or Jupyter Notebooks
• Advanced Excel and solid PowerPoint skills
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data problems independently
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders in high-pressure environments
🎯 Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Understanding of risk & control frameworks or market risk principles
• Experience with financial products such as fixed income or derivatives
• Exposure to SciKit-Learn or other data science libraries is a plus
• Background in Control Analytics, Product Control, or Front Office Risk processes
