This role is a contract role for approximately 4-6 months that can be part or full time yet also has the ability to turn into a permanent position.
Project overview
We are assembling a cross-functional team to develop a web application for personalized pharmaceutical content delivery, leveraging Contentful as the CMS. The application will dynamically tailor medical and marketing content to targeted audiences. You’ll act as the business-facing analyst—connecting strategy, design, and technical execution.
Role summary
As Business Analyst, you will drive the discovery, documentation, and delivery of business and functional requirements. You will interface with stakeholders, developers, and designers to ensure the application aligns with client goals, supports dynamic content logic, and enables measurable performance via dashboards and insights through a SAAS product owned by the client.
Key responsibilities
• Lead sessions with business and pharma stakeholders to define personalization goals, user segmentation, and success criteria
• Translate strategic requirements into detailed user stories, workflows, and content delivery rules for the development team
• Document and model content variants, personalization logic, and tagging structures in Contentful as needed
• Partner with the UX team to support the development of wireframes, journey maps, and design documentation
• Define metrics, KPIs, and reporting logic for real-time dashboards and post-launch insights with the client
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, QA prep, UAT, and client demos
• Serve as liaison between client-side subject matter experts, designers, and developers
• Track and manage scope changes, documentation updates, and sprint deliverables
Candidate requirements:
• 5+ years in a Business Analyst or Product Analyst role on web application projects
• Experience with pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare clients, particularly involving digital content or regulated marketing
• Hands-on with headless CMS platforms like Contentful
• Experience supporting business intelligence needs: collaborating on KPI definition, supporting dashboard requirements, and aligning analytics with business goals
• Solid grasp of personalization strategy and rule-based content delivery
• Proficient in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, Excel
• Experience working with UX and technical teams in product delivery cycles
• Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills
Candidate nice-to-have qualities (but not limited to):
• Familiarity with regulatory review workflows (e.g., MLR in pharma)
• Prior experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or GA4
• Understanding of content performance metrics and optimization cycles
• Exposure to marketing automation, CRM integration, or email personalization workflows
