Business Analyst - Tableau, PowerBI, Python

Our enterprise client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Insights & Analytics team on a 12-month contract, 40 hours/week. This is a hybrid role in the office Monday-Wednesday in Houston, TX. 2 days are work from home. This role is ideal for someone passionate about uncovering data-driven insights and translating them into strategic actions that drive business performance. The position is not technical in nature but requires strong problem-solving skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and proficiency in data visualization tools such as SQL or Python, Tableau, and PowerBI. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to influence decision-making and support growth initiatives through compelling data storytelling. Key Responsibilities Define strategic analytical approaches to execute critical projects and present findings to business leaders. Lead advanced analytics initiatives and provide strategic recommendations on product lifecycle management. Develop and implement innovative, data-driven strategies to support business growth. Drive continuous improvement projects using strategic KPIs, hypotheses, and metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence category strategies through data insights. Partner with leadership to frame business opportunities and develop analytic strategies. Facilitate problem-solving sessions to deliver solutions that enhance profitability. Build deep business and systems knowledge to improve analytical solutions and recommendations. Design and develop performance tracking tools such as dashboards and reports. Lead training sessions and foster collaboration across stakeholder groups. Mentor team members and contribute to a strong, data-driven team culture. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (Business, Computer Science, or Analytics preferred); Masters degree a plus. Minimum Of 4 Years Of Relevant Professional Experience. Strong understanding of business value drivers and strategic thinking. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence across the organization and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in data visualization and management tools (SQL or Python, Tableau, PowerBI). Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills. Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., NPD, Technomic, Nielsen IRI). Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems preferred. Background in distribution, retail, or wholesale industries is a plus. Project Management Experience Is Preferred.
