Location: Newbury Park, CA (Remote)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours
Employment Type: Contingent Worker (Contract, W2)

Summary of the Role
Join a science-driven R&D Business Analytics team at a big biopharma leader, delivering actionable insights that drive innovation and informed decision-making across research and operations. In this fully remote role, you will partner closely with R&D, operations, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize business performance, support strategic initiatives, and enable organizational success in a fast-paced, data-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Compile, analyze, and present complex data and insights supporting R&D and business objectives
• Monitor, track, and report performance using dashboards and KPIs focused on R&D initiatives
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to define requirements and develop analytics solutions
• Lead business analysis activities including process mapping, gap analysis, and operational improvements
• Provide leadership with performance updates, identify gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities
• Facilitate stakeholder communications and alignment on goals, deliverables, and features
• Develop and maintain documentation for analytics processes and system changes
• Apply technical expertise to diagnose performance issues and enhance analytical capabilities
• Support analytics team development through data, process, and technical guidance
Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry environments
• Experience in business, financial, operations, or analytical roles
• Strong analytics, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills
Required Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, business, finance, healthcare, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or business performance roles, preferably supporting R&D or scientific teams
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong Microsoft Teams skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities
• Proven ability to drive business performance in technical or R&D environments
Preferred:
• Industry experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare organizations
• Experience supporting business, finance, operations, or analytics functions
