Business Analyst V (Contingent)

Job Summary: This role is pivotal in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems to align with user needs and overall business strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating systems that enhance operational efficiency and writing detailed descriptions of user requirements, program functions, and the necessary steps for developing or modifying computer programs. This position demands a high level of creativity and independence, as well as the ability to lead and direct the work of others while relying on extensive experience and judgment to achieve goals. Responsibilities: Review and analyze business systems to identify user needs. Formulate systems that align with overall business strategies. Write detailed descriptions of user requirements and program functions. Develop or modify computer programs based on user specifications. Lead and direct the work of team members in project execution. Perform a variety of tasks requiring creativity and independent judgment. Collaborate with management to ensure alignment with departmental goals. Skills: Strong knowledge of GEO spatial concepts and practices. Proficiency in working with databases and large datasets. Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Python or R software for data manipulation and analysis. Solid background in data analytics and statistics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Minimum of 5 years of expertise in geospatial knowledge. At least 2 years of experience working with databases and large datasets. A minimum of 5 years demonstrating advanced Excel skills.
