About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our Data and Reporting team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and business analysis, with the ability to interact with both business users and technical teams to define, document, and deliver high-quality data and reporting solutions.
Responsibilities:
β’ Engage with Central Business and Facility end users to gather and analyze data and reporting requirements.
β’ Translate business needs into clearly documented requirements and functional specifications.
β’ Apply data management principles to support the design of data models, queries, and reporting solutions.
β’ Develop and track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
β’ Manage scope changes through a formal change control process and ensure alignment with project goals.
β’ Provide regular status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
β’ Facilitate application design sessions; act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
β’ Collaborate with QA to develop test plans and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
β’ Oversee delivery team activities to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
β’ Support system implementation, go-live readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
β’ Develop user documentation and provide training to ensure adoption of new tools and reports.
β’ Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably in data and reporting projects.
β’ Strong understanding of data concepts including modeling, querying (SQL), data governance, and BI/reporting tools.
β’ Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements for complex technical solutions.
β’ Ability to lead and facilitate meetings, drive discussions, and manage project expectations.
β’ Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
β’ Experience with QA processes and user acceptance testing.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in healthcare, finance, or large enterprise data environments.
β’ Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
β’ Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
