Business Analyst

Our Client, multinational mass media and entertainment company, is looking for someone to join their team as a Business Analyst! • • This is a hybrid 2 month contract role that takes place in NYC • • Required Skills &Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. • Typically has 7+ years of relevant technical or business work experience. • Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, product managers, development and testing teams and business stakeholders to deliver solutions. • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to learn and apply best practices and always strive for high quality deliverables. • Think and work independently, demonstrate creativity to help deliver quick and actionable results • Strong analytics & reporting skills and proficiency in Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. • Strong knowledge of Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence • Understanding of Agile principles and workflow • Experience working with digital and streaming products strongly preferred • Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn new methods and tools • A level of comfort asking probing questions and providing timely responses to help both internal and external customers to troubleshoot issues • Experience working with Centercode, macros, JSON is a plus • Knowledge of visualization or dashboard tools like Tableau, Power BI or JQL is beneficial\\ • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Understanding of various streaming devices (tvOS, Roku, Smart TVs, mobile, etc) What You Will Be Doing • Defect management of tickers interacting with QA engineering and project managers delivery managers with cross functional teams • Apply your analytical skills to research multi-part legacy system processes to derive actionable insights for process and product improvements • Analyze, understand, and map complex system processes into user stories, data flows, and business system requirements, including the analysis and understanding of eCommerce, Point of Sale Systems, financial reporting systems and SAP and Data Warehouse interfaces. • Produce high quality documentation and business and system process models, as a result of the discovery and evaluation process • Build relationships between IT and the business partners by building trust and creating a credible partnership • Monitor the original requirements throughout quality assurance testing and implementation to ensure that they are effectively delivered • Drive the desired business value-added results by aligning all technology needs and the overall priorities.
