Role description
Must be local to Seattle or Maimi to convert. Business Analyst Job Description This position will fill a key role in designing analytics and reporting that drive business decisions and solutions. You will work with a cross-functional team of Reporting Analysts, BI Developers and Data Architects to partner with stakeholders, generate reports, design analytics that drive insights, and develop creative solutions/tools to meet the needs of our business. You’ll be responsible for gathering use cases, defining requirements, and supporting the execution of various initiatives. This position reports to the Senior Manager, HR Reporting & Analytics β€’ Acts as liaison between business partners and Reporting & Analytics team in developing analytics and business solutions impacting both shoreside and shipboard users. β€’ Forges effective relationships within the HR division and with stakeholders throughout the company to proactively understand needs and priorities β€’ Acts as single point of contact in partnership with stakeholders to understand what they really need, develop solutions, define requirements, and translate them into technical specifications β€’ Collaborates with development team to propose solutions via minimum viable products that validate and improve the effectiveness of these solutions β€’ Ensures solutions comply with PII, SOX and other laws and regulations β€’ Develops an expert level understanding of major business processes and associated data β€’ Reviews current reporting to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for new efficiencies. β€’ Participates in various initiatives and special projects β€’ Creates and maintains documentation pertaining to the reporting catalog, data dictionary, and similar items β€’ Participates in long term strategy for HR Reporting & Analytics. β€’ Delivers customer service that aligns with HA Group brand’s Core Values, ensure positive outcomes by listening carefully to customer’s and coworker’s needs β€’ Demonstrates commitment to core values through behavior, attitude, and performance β€’ Contributes to a positive work environment Requirements β€’ 3-5 years of experience in a related role β€’ Experience using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook β€’ Analytical, creative, and naturally curious/inquisitive β€’ Passion for improving processes and discovering solutions β€’ Ability to think big picture, while being detail oriented β€’ Organized, with strong time-management skills β€’ Ability to work independently and with others β€’ Ability to relationship build; to collaborate without being confrontational β€’ SQL experience preferred; not required
