Business Intelligence Analyst (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team, focusing on creating insights and reporting using Power BI based on existing data sources. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building Power BI reports and generating valuable insights throughout the year. This role involves working on a variety of reports, both ad hoc and planned in advance, rather than being limited to a single specific project. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. Job Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Power BI reports based on existing data sources. • Generate insights from data to support decision-making processes. • Collaborate with team members to identify reporting needs and deliver timely solutions. • Conduct research and synthesize information from multiple sources to enhance report quality. • Manage multiple reporting projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met. Requirements • Proficiency in Power BI with a minimum of 5 years of experience. • Strong knowledge of Kusto for data querying and analysis (minimum 5 years). • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management (minimum 5+ years). • Familiarity with Cosmos DB for data storage and retrieval (minimum 5 years). • Excellent technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex details and improve operational efficiency. • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Preferred degree in a relevant field; however, strong Power BI skills may compensate for lack of formal education. • Ability to work during PST hours with at least 6 hours of overlap required. • Good judgment and the ability to conduct necessary research effectively.
