Job Title: Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-level dashboards and reporting solutions. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights that drive operational and clinical decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in Power BI, data modeling, and healthcare data (claims, membership, provider, or clinical), with a passion for building intuitive and scalable dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
β’ Translate business requirements into data models and visualization solutions
β’ Build and optimize data models using Power Query, DAX, and relational datasets
β’ Connect to and integrate data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, APIs, etc.)
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs
β’ Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and usability of dashboards
β’ Implement best practices for data governance, security, and report deployment
β’ Support ad hoc reporting and data analysis requests
β’ Continuously improve reporting processes and dashboard performance
Required Qualifications
β’ 3+ years of experience developing dashboards in Power BI
β’ Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling
β’ Experience with SQL and relational databases
β’ Ability to translate complex data into clear, user-friendly visualizations
β’ Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience working with healthcare data (claims, EHR, provider, or payer data)
β’ Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards
β’ Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS)
β’ Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
β’ Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
