Position Overview:
β’ As a Charles River SME, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Charles River software platform.
β’ Charles River is a comprehensive software suite tailored for private equity fund administrators and investment managers, enabling them to efficiently manage their investment lifecycle, fund accounting, investor reporting, and more.
β’ You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the platform's functionality, performance, and user experience while ensuring the highest standards of code quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements for the Charles River platform, in alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
β’ Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and quality assurance teams to gather requirements, clarify design specifications, and ensure accurate implementation of features.
β’ Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, identify potential issues, and mentor junior developers in best practices.
β’ Optimize application performance, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and ensure the scalability and reliability of the platform.
β’ Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process, suggesting and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
β’ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the private equity and investment management domain.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
β’ Proven experience (2+ Years) in software development, with a focus on investment management system Charles River.
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, SQL, and related technologies.
β’ Expertise with Java
β’ Strong understanding of private equity and alternative investment concepts, fund accounting principles, and investment lifecycle processes.
β’ Experience with database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
β’ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
β’ Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
β’ Knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
β’ Relevant certifications in investment management systems or related fields.
