Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, • Systems Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience. • 7+ years of industry experience in building and supporting enterprise level systems as a platform engineer or equivalent in a production environment • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and using the tools and services required for DevOps best practices. This Includes But Not Limited To: • Linux (RHEL). • Application services (WebSphere, Tomcat, Spring Boot). • Source code control systems (Subversion, Git variants). • Build systems (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI). • Static analysis tools (SonarQube, Fortify). • Containerization tools (Docker, Podman). • Orchestration and environment management tools (Puppet, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform). • Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog). • Programming or scripting languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, Bash). • Automated testing tools (Selenium, TestComplete). • 3+ years hands-on experience with AWS services - building, deploying, and monitoring. • using AWS tools and services such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CloudWatch, AWS. • CloudFormation, and AWS X-Ray. • Thorough understanding of APIs, gateways, orchestrators, databases, networking, monitoring, configuration management and security best practices for a production environment. Job Requirements Details: Responsibilities: • Working with the development teams and DevOps teams to create and implement STAR's. • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. • Work with National IT to create and implement the tooling required for Continuous Delivery. • Ensure our systems and tooling are future proof and can accommodate growth and continually changing requirements. • Participate in design and planning sessions to ensure changes to tooling or services are accounted for Design and implement process improvements. • Coach and mentor others on Platform Engineering and DevOps best practices.
