• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, preferably in Azure and/or Oracle Cloud
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical initiatives
• Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect) are a plus

Cloud Platform Engineering Overview
Cloud Platform Engineering is one of the Service areas within the Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture organization. As a part of our IT department, you will lead efforts to architect, manage, and optimize Azure and Oracle Cloud infrastructure to ensure it meets our business needs. This role is ideal for someone with deep cloud expertise, a passion for innovation, and a drive to mentor others and lead impactful projects.
As a senior member of the Cloud Platform product team, you'll lead collaboration efforts to create easy-to-use, simple and efficient tools that provide a self-service capability for application teams to deploy and consume cloud infrastructure aligned to Edward Jones' technology strategy and security requirements.
What you'll do…
• Lead cloud engineering initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based applications and services in Microsoft Azure.
• Design, configure, and maintain virtual machines, storage accounts, and other cloud resources.
• Drive automation of cloud operations using tools like Terraform Enterprise, Git Hub, and Azure Policy.
• Implement and enforce of cloud security practices to safeguard our data and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure and Oracle Cloud features and industry trends to recommend improvements and optimizations.
What you'll work on…
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Lead the management of our Azure environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual tasks.
• Security: Enhance our cloud security posture by implementing best practices and monitoring tools.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Learning and Development: Continuously advance your cloud expertise through training, certifications, and hands-on experience with new Azure services and features.
