TITLE: Cloud DevOps Engineer LOCATION: Hybrid - candidate needs to be located in Denver to be onsite. Overview The Cloud DevOps Engineer will upgrade EKS versions, use Kubernetes, Argo, Terraform and GitLab in the effort to migrate away from Oracle into Postgres and work on database automation to run Postgres in the cloud, via RDS and Aurora. This position will play an integral role in moving an enterprise SaaS product from Oracle Cloud to AWS. Will work within the tech stack of Amazon EKS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo, GitLab/GitOps, and PostgreSQL. Will also work closely with AWS Cloud Security, Networking, and Monitoring Tools. Responsibilities • Lead the migration of SaaS software from Oracle Cloud to AWS using Amazon EKS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. • Manage and upgrade Amazon EKS clusters, ensuring smooth deployment of containers via Argo and GitLab/GitOps. • Collaborate closely with AWS Cloud Security, Networking, and Monitoring teams to ensure a secure and stable cloud infrastructure. • Design and maintain GitOps pipelines for deploying AWS infrastructure with proper version control and security measures. • Streamline CI/CD processes by automating code deployments, testing, and infrastructure provisioning to ensure efficient and reliable delivery pipelines. • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience of cloud environments. • Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure, working with stakeholders to clarify requirements and adapt to changing technical needs. Required Experience • 5+ years of DevOps experience with AWS Cloud services like RDS, EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, and the ability to provision services via Terraform. • Familiarity with GitOps pipelines for deploying AWS infrastructure with version control. • Knowledge of general cloud and application security concepts like encryption (at rest and in transit) and the use of certificates and secrets within an application. • Ideal candidates will have experience with EKS and deploying containers via Helm and/or via Operators/CRDs. • Ideal candidates will be familiar with service mesh concepts like Istio and have some experience with deploying and maintaining them. • Must possess the ability to work collaboratively in teams, while communicating thoughts, concerns, and ideas professionally. • Willingness to work with stakeholders to help clarify requirements and to positively influence technical direction through technical designs • Ability to be flexible to changing priorities BENEFITS BridgeView makes it easy to say “yes” to joining our team by providing exceptional benefits, with national Medical, Dental, Vision, Teladoc, and Life Insurance coverage effective on the first of the month from your date of hire.
