A leading firm in the private equity space is seeking a Data Analyst to join its internal consulting team. This long-term remote opportunity offers the chance to work on high-impact data initiatives that span global and U.S. investment portfolios.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in building a unified data model, prototyping pipelines, and supporting data transformation efforts. This role values problem-solving and financial data fluency over specific tool mastery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and DBT
• Structure and consolidate investment transaction data for standardized reporting
• Collaborate with accounting and business teams to define requirements and refine models
• Conduct data discovery and cleaning to improve data integrity
• Transform Excel-based financial records into organized datasets
• Prototype solutions in Microsoft Fabric, integrating reference data across systems
• Light dashboard/reporting work in Power BI (~10–20%)
• Contribute to internal consulting projects, bridging investor data workflows
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3–10 years of experience in financial data analytics or consulting
• MUST come out of the asset management space with a strong grasp of investment account data and private vs. public structures
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and DBT preferred
• Familiarity with platforms like Geneva (State Street) and MDM tools is a plus
• Independent problem-solver with excellent communication skills
