About The Role
Based from our Global HQ in 55 Baker Street, London, we are looking to recruit a Data Analyst to join our Business Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, dedicated to supporting a strategic client discovery project.
This initiative will define Knight Frank’s core capabilities, client focus, team integration, and market “sweet spot.”
You will work closely with the Senior Data Analyst, Project Manager and Data Administrator, playing a pivotal role in gathering, cleansing, analysing and interpreting data across both the Commercial and Residential divisions. Your insights will directly shape strategic decision-making at the highest level.
About The Business Development Team
The Business Development team sits within our Commercial Division and supports the wider business through new business generation, client profiling and targeting, pitching, relationship management and cross-division referrals. We are a friendly, close-knit team that collaborates closely to deliver meaningful insight and value to the business.
Role Purpose
This is a specialist role with responsibility for the quantitative analysis behind the client discovery project. It requires a balance of technical data skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to communicate findings in a clear and compelling way to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Client Discovery
• Collate, validate and analyse data across six project areas:
• Financial performance (5-year revenue, margin, growth drivers)
• Client review (integration levels, company types, client base)
• Appointment methods and win rates
• UK capabilities (services, structure, geographic reach, competitors)
• Expertise (track record, client feedback, trends, market position)
• “Sweet spot” analysis (intersection of capabilities and expertise)
• Identify trends, correlations and opportunities to drive integration and growth.
Reporting & Insight Delivery
• Build and maintain clear, visually engaging reports and dashboards (e.g. Power BI).
• Present insights in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the development of strategic recommendations.
Data Quality & Governance
• Work across multiple systems (CRM, finance, marketing, research) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Implement checks to maintain reliability throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaboration & Engagement
• Partner with the Project Manager to align outputs with timelines.
• Liaise with colleagues across Commercial and Residential divisions to gather data.
• Support leadership in interpreting findings and shaping decisions.
About You
Technical & Analytical Skills
• Strong experience analysing complex, multi-source datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Strong SQL or equivalent database querying skills.
• Experience in a property environment is advantageous, but not essential.
Business & Communication Skills
• Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Personal Qualities
• Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially aware.
• Curious, proactive and driven to uncover insights.
• Reliable, self-starting and able to work flexibly.
• Collaborative team player with a positive approach.
Competitive salary
