Role description
Role: Data Analyst Location: Mountain View, CA (Remote) Duration: 10-12 months Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with data visualization, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources. β€’ Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. β€’ Perform data validation, ensure accuracy, and maintain data integrity. β€’ Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets to generate actionable insights. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders. β€’ Support ad-hoc data requests and provide timely analysis for business needs. β€’ Document processes, workflows, and best practices for data analysis. Required Skills & Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. β€’ Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing datasets. β€’ Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). β€’ Solid understanding of Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation and reporting. β€’ Knowledge of at least one programming language for data analysis (Python or R preferred). β€’ Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience with big data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar). β€’ Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts. β€’ Prior experience in technology or product-driven organizations. β€’ Exposure to statistical modeling or machine learning techniques is a plus.
