About the Role
• We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and database design to join our analytics team supporting utility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management and optimization, with the ability to translate operational data into actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to collect, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Create and optimize data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence needs.
• Develop and maintain database structures to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Analyze fleet operations data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Partner with operations, logistics, and maintenance teams to create dashboards and reports that drive performance improvements.
• Support predictive analytics and modeling initiatives for vehicle utilization, maintenance scheduling, and route optimization.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytical processes.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations to leadership for operational and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the utilities or transportation/fleet management sector.
• Strong proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica, Airflow).
• Proven experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical).
• Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with fleet management systems and optimization algorithms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings clearly.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
Preferred:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques for optimization and predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with geospatial analysis and telematics data.
