Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Data Analyst II. Responsibilities:
β’ Understand business context and problems and communicates them clearly in written and oral format
β’ The Data Analyst will work with the business users to understand & document the functionality requirements
β’ Understand existing architecture and data flows
β’ Perform data analysis
β’ Provide detailed business and data requirements including complex data mappings
β’ Answer questions and scenarios that may come up as the developers and testers work off the business requirements
β’ Create process flows, presentations and reports to document recommendations and deliver them to the business stakeholders
β’ Performs detailed analysis of complex business processes, data requirements and proposes solutions
β’ The Data Analyst will work with the team to develop detailed scope, requirements and other SDLC documents as required
β’ Develop test plans, test cases, procedures, and documents given business requirements and design documents
Requirements
β’ 4+ years of experience in documenting business and data requirements for systems development projects
β’ 4+ years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on business and data analysis
β’ Prior experience in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), Visio
β’ Strong SQL , analytical and problem-solving skills
β’ Understand business context, problems and communicates them clearly in written and oral format
β’ Work with the business users and leads to understand & document data requirements
β’ Understands basic relational databases as well as user interface design
β’ Experience working on large data Integration projects
β’ Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills, strong written and verbal presentation skills
β’ Excellent written and oral communication skills; Able to convert the business requirements into clear and detailed functional requirements for the development team to code; Able to coordinate meetings with other teams effectively
β’ Experience with documenting business requirements and testing results
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
