Role description
Position: Data Analyst Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 12 Months Contract (with possible extension) Work Schedule: 3-4 Days Onsite Rate-$50-$55/hr Overview This role focuses on using data analysis to identify and solve business problems. The analyst will perform root cause analysis, propose data-driven solutions, and develop tools (like Python calculators) to support stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential to understand business needs and present findings effectively. Responsibilities Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and root causes. Recommend actions through data storytelling via presentations (PowerPoint), dashboards (Tableau), and clear communication. Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and frame analyses. Use SQL and Python to extract, clean, and manipulate data. Develop tools and calculators in Python to support decision-making. Assess impacts of recommended actions on customers, employees, and the company. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and measure solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics) Professional work experience in data analytics or related field. Proficiency in SQL and Python (hands-on coding, will be tested). Strong skills in Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint. Experience in data acquisition, cleaning, manipulation, and trend analysis. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities. Ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable working independently and in a hybrid work environment. Nice to Have Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Statistics, Finance, Math, Economics, Engineering, Analytics). Experience in auto financing, consumer lending, financial institutions, credit risk, or pricing analytics. Exposure to AI/ML and predictive modeling techniques.
