Job Description:
We are seeking a business intelligence professional to help centralize all corporate data into Microsoft Fabric to be utilized for data analytics and system integration. This position will be responsible for providing direction to the data engineering team to develop data infrastructure to support all business initiatives. In addition, this role will be the liaison between finance and the rest of the business to ensure that data requirements are properly understood and communicated between all business verticals. Provide leadership in the data stack to ensure at the forefront of data technologies, including a foundation for AI excellence.
Responsibilities
β’ Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
β’ Develop and publish dashboards to provide visibility into key KPIs
β’ Work with management to define/enforce enterprise data definitions/dictionaries
β’ Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
β’ Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
β’ Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
β’ Filter and βcleanβ data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code/data problems
β’ Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
β’ Work with management to identify relevant KPIs and integrate them into business reporting
Requirements
β’ Minimum 5 years as a Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst or related position
β’ Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
β’ Proficient in SQL, ETL, and data modeling
β’ Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Power BI and DOMO)
β’ Microsoft Fabric technology knowledge and experience (Power BI, Datagen2, Data Warehousing, OneLake)
β’ Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel)
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
β’ Adept at report writing and presenting findings
Qualifications Education
Education:
β’ Bachelor's Degree in a related field (math, statistics, computer engineering/science, data science, or similar)
Work Experience:
β’ 5 or more years of information technology experience; a combination of education and work experience will be considered
β’ Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties. This position will be expected to work extended hours and on weekends when needed to address emergent issues and to complete technology projects
