Data Analyst (Tableau, SQL, Python) 📍 Location: Harrisburg, PA Area (Remote with occasional onsite meetings) 📅 Contract: Long-Term Contract through 06/30/2027 with potential extension 🏢 Client: Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) About the Opportunity PSERS is seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Data Analyst to partner with internal stakeholders in developing, delivering, and maintaining data-driven solutions that support strategic business decisions. This role combines data analysis, business engagement, reporting, visualization, and performance analytics to help drive operational excellence and informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong Tableau expertise, experience working directly with business stakeholders, and the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Business & Stakeholder Engagement • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand strategic goals, challenges, and analytical needs. • Translate business requirements into analytical approaches and actionable solutions. • Lead analytics projects from requirements gathering through delivery. • Serve as a trusted advisor for data, risk, and performance-related initiatives. Data Analysis & Insights • Acquire, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. • Identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities using advanced analytical techniques. • Perform exploratory analysis and develop recommendations that support business objectives. • Validate methodologies and analytical approaches used across projects. Reporting & Visualization • Design and develop impactful dashboards and reports using Tableau. • Present analytical findings to business and executive audiences in a clear, concise manner. • Convert complex data into meaningful visualizations and actionable business insights. • Create recurring reporting processes and performance monitoring solutions. Data Management & Process Improvement • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy. • Develop, maintain, and automate recurring reporting and analytics processes. • Document best practices, methodologies, and reporting standards. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects. Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of Data Analyst experience. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders. • Experience translating business requirements into analytical solutions. • Proven ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences. • Experience creating executive-level reports and dashboards.
