Job Purpose:
As key contributor within a select team, the Business Intelligence Analyst will use and develop technical abilities to collect data from multiple sources, find relationships and patterns and make sense of large amounts of structured and unstructured data. Given a goal or task, the incumbent will produce reports, visualizations, and reproducible analysis that will provide Management clarity for decision making. The BI Analyst should have experience with forecasting techniques and scenario modelling and should be comfortable with or be keen to develop knowledge of PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, VBA and other programming or data modelling tools and techniques. The Business Intelligence Analyst should be comfortable engaging colleagues at different seniority levels across the Company worldwide and sensitive to cultural and working style differences.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
β’ Develop Visualizations to manage and monitor business performance
β’ Create and Maintain central data sources containing KPIs, metrics, dimensions and data definitions
β’ Understand, analyze and summarize large and diverse sources of data into meaningful and insightful presentations
β’ Perform βwhat ifβ analysis simulating changes in business parameters quantifying impacts
β’ Find meaningful business relationships in data and communicate appropriately
β’ Influence processes and make recommendations using data to inform decisions
β’ Assist the BI Manager and BI Director with other ad-hoc requests from the Business
Qualifications:
Essential:
β’ Customer focus β mostly Senior Management in the Company
β’ Strong Excel analysis skills
β’ Business & commercial acumen
β’ Proactive and self-motivated to anticipate, prioritize, and action business demands
β’ Ability to link, interpret, make sense, and communicate findings on diverse data from multiple sources
β’ Experience of presenting analysis and results to diverse audiences
β’ Experience of coordinating analysis across departments / business units
Desirable:
β’ Experience with visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview, DOMO
β’ Experience of working in a multi-national, matrix environment
β’ Experience of working in logistics or a high-volume industry
β’ Statistical modelling experience (R, SPSS, EViews)
β’ Programming experience in SQL, Python, VBA
Other Skills and Educational Qualifications
Essential:
β’ BSc (or Degree equivalent), preferably in a numerical discipline such as mathematics, economics, statistics, information technology, engineering, or physical sciences
β’ Strong Excel analysis skills
β’ Excellent analytical skills
β’ Very attentive to detail, inquisitive and naturally curious
