Role description
Job Summary
The Allocation Data Analyst supports hydrocarbon allocation and production reporting by validating data across offshore operated and non-operated assets within the oil and gas industry. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of data used for production accounting, revenue accounting, finance, commercial, partner, and regulatory reporting.
As part of the Production Measurement and Allocation (PMA) team, the analyst will utilize allocation software, applications, databases, and dashboards to support key business decisions and maintain compliance with governance standards.
This position is based at the Houston corporate office, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
β’ Perform daily, weekly, and monthly allocation reviews using production/metering data and dashboards from offshore facilities.
β’ Validate and reconcile data from reports, SCADA, and PI/Canary historians.
β’ Support allocation methodologies, including calculation logic for offshore facilities.
β’ Develop and enhance metering and allocation workflows to improve visibility and accuracy.
β’ Collaborate with production engineers, offshore personnel, accounting teams, finance, land/legal, and commercial teams to align on measurement and allocation data.
β’ Validate laboratory analysis data within the sampling database.
β’ Support internal and external audits for offshore operated and non-operated assets.
β’ Assist partners and multiple producers with data-related inquiries.
β’ Resolve data anomalies and identify well test issues in coordination with production engineers.
β’ Detect meter and data input discrepancies in partnership with operations teams and measurement coordinators.
β’ Contribute to continuous improvement of measurement, allocation, and reporting systems.
Qualifications/Requirements
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or a related field.
β’ Experience in measurement and allocation, production databases, and allocation tools (e.g., ProCount).
β’ Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python.
β’ Familiarity with SCADA, PI historian, and Canary.
β’ Experience working with offshore oil and gas operations.

β’ Monday β Thursday: 7:30 AM β 5:30 PM
β’ Friday: 8:00 AM β 12:00 PM
