About the job: Kent is looking for a Data Analyst on a 6-month fixed term basis to work within Kent’s centre of excellence for Pre-FEED & FEED. You will be part of our growing team in supporting a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in Low Carbon / Energy Transition (CCUS / Green Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen, Offshore Wind, Waste to Energy, Emissions Reduction) as well as traditional international energy projects. The role is to assist in the organizing, analysing and developing of our data, including construction spreadsheet-based models, improving our data filing systems and assisting us in setting up a new software system for our future use. You will work closely together with our team in developing the estimating discipline through better data management. The role may also include working with other disciplines on similar types of projects and requirements and may involve limited travel to mainly UK locations as required. Our professionals work closely across the disciplines to provide complete and efficient solutions to our customers. We follow a hybrid working model that combines office and remote work, with a requirement to be in the Woking office four days a week. This approach supports the development of a strong and effective team dynamic within Engineering and Projects. Skills & Responsibilities: • Lead the planning, organizing and analysis of accumulated data • Develop tools and Excel based models to make use of analysed data • Support in the development of the cost estimation discipline including training estimators in the use of developed tools and data analysis techniques • Support other business units with data analysis • Collate and maintain company cost data and norms • Improve estimating methods and tools within the cost estimating function • Other related tasks and scopes of work commensurate with ability and skill sets. • Develop your knowledge and skills to support a wide range of data and software applications In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: • Background in data analysis • An understanding of programming languages such as Python • Strong communication and presentations skills • Good ability in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
