Role description
Job Title: Data Analyst/Data Engineer Location: Mountain View CA/San Diego CA/Hybrid Description: We are looking for a hands-on Staff Technical Data Analyst who is a creative problem solver with a passion to build, enhance, and support an advanced data toolkit for the Identity Analytics team and its stakeholders. You will work with data engineers, business data analysts, data scientists, product managers, architects, designers, and other technical data analysts to mature Intuit’s Identity Analytics capabilities. As a key member of the Identity Analytics team, you will have a strong track record of combining advanced analytics database design approaches with exceptional knowledge of functional areas to unlock potential for the business data analysts and product managers you support. You will be able to take ownership of complex workflows to translate data from clickstream and transactional data sources to maintain a complete data analytics platform. This is an exciting time to join Intuit’s Identity Analytics team as we are building many new cutting-edge capabilities, including advanced real-time anomaly detection, self-serve analytics, Bayesian-based experimentation, and many more. Data is central to Intuit’s decision-making process, and technical analysts are a critical component to unlock data-driven decision making as we look to transform and scale the Identity platform for the future. Responsibilities ● Develop and maintain ETL pipelines from multiple distinct data sources using PySpark and SQL ● Work with high volume batch and streaming datasets to deliver performant, reliable solutions ● Communicate with data workers across Intuit to answer technical and functional questions ● Write and implement technical specifications based on business requirements to complete maintenance and delivery of new data pipelines Technical Qualifications ● 8+ years of experience working on ETL/data pipelines to support analytics use cases ● Advanced Python and SQL development skillsets ● Expertise working with big data and data lakes ● Familiarity with AWS (Redshift, Athena, and AWS core concepts) and Databricks ● Experience with clickstream data Other Qualifications ● Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end systems thinking ● Outstanding communications skills with the ability to influence decision makers and build consensus with teams ● Proactive and inquisitive learner who seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities for change that enhance the business ● Strong organizational skills, time management, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
