Data Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Elk Grove, CA that is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer. Responsibilities: • Clearly communicates technical work to diverse audiences, verbally and in writing • The Data Analytics Engineer participates in peer reviews and team discussions with clarity and purpose • Maintains clear, structured documentation of project logic, decisions, and maintenance • Contributes to team standards for reproducibility and transparency • Works effectively with cross-functional partners • As a Data Analytics Engineer, this person values shared ownership and ensures continuity through knowledge sharing • Delivers high-quality, consistent code and documentation that supports long-term maintainability and trust in data systems Requirements • 5+ years of Data Engineering expertise • 5+ years of Data Infrastructure & Management experience • Experienced in building and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT) • Proficient with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Prefect) • Comfortable working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and tools like Snowflake • Familiar with data lake and warehouse architecture (e.g., S3 + Athena, Delta Lake) • Strong Python skills for data manipulation (e.g., pandas, pyarrow, pyspark) • Expertise in data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, normalization, dimensional modeling) • Skilled in maintaining data quality and integrity (data monitoring, validation, deduplication, anomaly detection) • Familiar with version control, CI/CD practices for data workflows (e.g., Git) • Comfortable in ambiguity; Proactively identifies issues and opportunities • Demonstrates curiosity and critical thinking The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
