Project Description: Hiring a hands-on Data Architect to lead a large-scale data migration and integration initiative for a major platform modernization project. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution — you’ll define architecture, guide tooling decisions, and work closely with engineering and analyst teams to bring scalable solutions to life. Responsibilities • Design architecture strategies for migrating data from legacy systems into modern, cloud-native platforms • Select appropriate tools and frameworks for migration and integration pipelines (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS) • Create high-level solution architecture and data mapping documentation • Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to align design with business requirements • Work closely with two existing data architects, contributing to architectural reviews and strategic planning • Support limited data modelling tasks in collaboration with analysts who lead mapping activities • Ensure alignment of technical execution with broader business goals Must Have • Proficiency in SQL • Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake • Strong working knowledge of AWS services (EMR, Glue, Lambda) • Proven experience in architecting data migration and integration solutions • Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams Nice To Have • Experience with Python • Exposure to data modeling concepts (dimensional, relational) • Familiarity with tools like dbt or Airflow is a plus
