Job Description:Client is seeking a Data Science Manager (Data Architect) to support a new initiative. This role will act as a lead resource coordinating with the team, supporting all initiatives, and driving enterprise data strategies.
Job Summary:The Data Science Manager will lead data architecture and science initiatives, bridging technical and business teams. The role requires expertise in cloud platforms, machine learning frameworks, database management, and data governance practices.
Callouts:
· New headcount created by initiative
· Hybrid role (onsite T/W/TH)
· 12+ years of experience required
· Possible FTE conversion based on budget
Core/Key Responsibilities:
· Lead coordination and support of data science/architecture initiatives.
· Design and implement data models, databases, and APIs.
· Drive data governance and quality management strategies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategy with business needs.
· Leverage BI and visualization tools for actionable insights.
Systems/Software proficiencies:
· Cloud: AWS or Azure
· Data Tools: Snaplogic, DBT, Spark, Apache Airflow
· Databases: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Vector DB, SQL Server
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Required Experience/ Qualifications/ Top Must have Skills:
· 12+ years of experience in data science/architecture
· Strong background in cloud services (AWS/Azure)
· Expertise in machine learning frameworks and algorithms
· Proven experience with data modeling, SQL/NoSQL databases, and API development
· Knowledge of BI platforms and visualization tools
· Data governance and quality management expertise
· Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams
Preferred Experience/ Qualifications/ Top Nice to have Skills:
· Experience in asset management or financial services
· Background in enterprise-level data platforms and AI/ML integration
· Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial data environments
