Job Title: Data/ Business Analyst (Treaty Reinsurance Exp.) Locations: Jersey City, NJ & Charlotte, NC (Day 1 Onsite, no remote) Employment Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12+ Months About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Reinsurance Data Analyst with 8+ years of expertise in analysing reinsurance treaties, assessing risk, and supporting underwriting processes. In this role, you will review treaty terms, interpret and analyze complex datasets, and prepare insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will help optimize decision-making and strengthen our risk assessment capabilities. Key Responsibilities • Review and interpret reinsurance treaty terms and conditions. • Analyse historical and current data to assess risk and pricing adequacy. • Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and dashboards for treaty data analysis. • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for underwriting, actuarial, and management teams. • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and finance departments to support treaty negotiations and portfolio management. • Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvement. Must-Have Skills & Experience • 8+ years of experience in reinsurance treaty analysis and risk assessment. • Strong SQL skills and proven experience in data analytics. • Solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and reinsurance principles. • Ability to interpret legal and technical treaty documentation. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
