Data Collection Associate

Objectways is seeking Data Collection Associates (DCAs) to support our growing AI and Physical Intelligence data programs. This role will contribute to the development of next-generation Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, AR/VR, and Vision-Language models by collecting high-quality ground truth datasets. Data Collection Associates will work directly with participants to capture structured datasets including egocentric video, motion capture, speech, and environmental data using advanced sensing equipment. These datasets enable the development and evaluation of cutting-edge AI, machine learning, robotics, and immersive technologies. The ideal candidate combines strong interpersonal skills, technical curiosity, and attention to detail, and enjoys working in fast-paced technology environments. Responsibilities • Entry-level position supporting AI data collection programs • Guide research participants through structured data collection sessions involving motion capture, egocentric recordings, or environment scanning • Operate and maintain specialized data capture equipment (e.g., cameras, sensors, AR/VR headsets, motion capture systems) • Prepare participants for sessions including intake, consent forms, NDAs, and session instructions • Maintain controlled capture environments, including lighting setup and staging • Ensure secure handling of proprietary devices and collected datasets • Upload captured datasets to internal data platforms and cloud storage systems • Respond quickly to project updates, experimental changes, or new protocols • Troubleshoot equipment, participant, or software issues during capture sessions • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve data collection workflows • Provide feedback to project leads regarding process improvements • Perform other duties as required to support project execution Skills and Requirements • Strong in-person customer service and participant interaction skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse participants • Comfortable working with technology, AI systems, cameras, sensors, and robotics equipment • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, experimental environment • Ability to follow structured protocols and maintain high data quality standards • Comfortable working with AR/VR or head-mounted devices during data capture sessions • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Physical / Vision Requirements • Ability to perform job duties while wearing head-mounted devices or sensor equipment • Ability to maintain clear visual focus at distances of approximately 6–8 feet • Ability to stand, move, and assist participants during capture session Experience • Experience in customer service, research participation management, or technical operations • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, AR/VR, robotics, or data collection technologies is a plus • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools including SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, Outlook, Word, and Excel • High school diploma required; 2+ years working in a team-oriented environment preferred About Objectways Objectways Technologies is a global AI data infrastructure company specializing in data collection, data annotation, and training datasets for artificial intelligence systems.
