Senior Data Consultant (Director level) £600 - £800 per day (Outside IR35) Remote, Ad hoc travel to London Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Initially 3 months (with likely extension) We're hiring a Senior Data Consultant to help a growing personal care brand unlock the value of its data. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to define what "good" looks like for data across the business and help set the foundations for effective governance, infrastructure, reporting, and usage. The role is suited for someone who can confidently shape strategy and deliver hands-on impact in a small, fast-paced environment. What You'll Be Doing • Conduct a full assessment of current data environment, tools, and usage • Define a roadmap for data maturity, governance, and infrastructure improvements • Design and implement scalable reporting and data quality frameworks • Lead workshops with stakeholders to identify pain points, gaps, and opportunities • Establish best practices across data collection, management, and security • Recommend or implement appropriate tooling (e.g., for reporting, pipelines, or automation) • Provide hands-on guidance and documentation to upskill internal teams What We're Looking For • You must have strong expertise in data strategies such as pricing modelling, LTV and cohort analysis, and working knowledge of AI/ML/LLMs • Proven experience as a Lead Data Consultant or Head of Data across small-to-mid-sized businesses • Expeirence working in retail environment is non-negotiable • Experience working in startups or scale-ups • Strong knowledge of modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Looker, Power BI, Fivetran) • Ability to translate technical concepts into business recommendations • Experience setting up or improving data governance, quality, and analytics from scratch • Collaborative and self-sufficient mindset, with a practical and strategic approach Nice to Have • Experience in ecommerce, or consumer products • Understanding of GDPR and data privacy within a business context
