Role description
About the Company We are seeking motivated and technically strong Data Engineers to support mission-critical programs within the U.S. Department of Defense environment. This role focuses on building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using modern data engineering practices and Palantir technologies, including Foundry and Gaia. About the Role Candidates with direct Palantir experience are highly preferred; however, strong Data Engineers with solid Python development experience and exposure to modern data platforms will also be considered. Responsibilities β€’ Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows β€’ Support data integration, transformation, and analytics initiatives across large-scale environments β€’ Work within Palantir Foundry and related Palantir ecosystem tools β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, analytics, and mission teams β€’ Build scalable data solutions using Python and cloud-native technologies β€’ Ensure data quality, governance, and security compliance standards are met β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve data processing and performance issues β€’ Document technical processes, workflows, and architectures Qualifications β€’ 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field β€’ Strong Python development skills β€’ Experience with SQL and relational/non-relational databases β€’ Understanding of ETL pipelines and data architecture concepts β€’ Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) β€’ Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed systems β€’ Ability to work in secure government environments β€’ Active Secret Clearance required Required Skills β€’ Experience with Palantir Foundry, Gaia, Apollo, or related Palantir tools β€’ Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal programs β€’ Exposure to Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or Databricks β€’ TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Skills β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
