Data Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer in Brooklyn, NY to join their team. Summary: This team is responsible for improving the quality and usability of our Visits data and DataMarts, which power critical use cases such as marketing attribution, experimentation, machine learning applications, and company-wide performance reporting. You will help support key initiatives and assist in reducing our backlog during this engagement. Responsibilities: • Analyze and synthesize large datasets to improve data quality and usability • Collaborate with a small, agile team to deliver on high-impact projects • Adapt to shifting priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment Requirements • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field • Experience working with and analyzing large datasets • Familiarity with a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) language (e.g., Java, Scala) • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced analytics Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Scala Spark • Experience developing Kafka Streams Applications • Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Big Query • Exposure to Apache Kafka The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
