Role description
Onward Search is partnering with a leading global music streaming company to hire a Data Engineer II (ML Platform Engineer). You’ll join the Hendrix ML Platform team, building a robust platform for training and serving ML models at scale. This is a 100% remote contract role (EST hours) with the possibility of extension. What You’ll Do Support migration to a new orchestration system while enabling data lineage across training pipelines. Implement lineage features for training, inference, and feature generation. Provide insights into training data usage to meet compliance requirements. Add OpenLineage support for ML endpoints and connect feature lineage to upstream pipelines. Help users transition to the new system, providing technical support and guidance. Communicate progress, risks, and obstacles proactively. What We’re Looking For 3+ years building production ML infrastructure with Python or Go. Experience with a public cloud platform (GCP preferred). Strong background in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Ray (Ray Tune a plus). Understanding of ML pipelines, orchestration, and compliance processes. Familiarity with Flyte, Kubeflow, or Hugging face. Experience with large-scale platform migrations is a plus.
