Role description
Join our team as a Data Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in developing, evaluating, and maintaining scalable data architectures and solutions that unlock the full potential of our organization's data assets. The main function of the Data Engineer is to develop, evaluate, test, and maintain architectures and data solutions within our organization. The typical Data Engineer executes plans, policies, and practices that control, protect, deliver, and enhance the value of the organization’s data assets. This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content, including but not limited to graphic images, videos, and writings, as well as offensive or derogatory language and other potentially objectionable material. I.e., child exploitation, graphic violence, animal abuse, self-injury, and other content that may be considered offensive or disturbing. Job Responsibilities β€’ Build and maintain dashboards using the standard tooling in support of user analytics across a broad set of partners (product, engineering, data science). β€’ Build and maintain data pipelines that support data usability and efficiency across product use cases. β€’ Leverage data modeling principles to design and update data models in support of usability and efficient use of resources. β€’ Document tooling built for consumption by multiple audiences (product, technical, non-technical). β€’ Support teams on-call per team's schedule to respond to system issues and failures, and address questions about the team's analytics infrastructure. β€’ Support the Integrity data infrastructure, which supports actioning across multiple platforms. Minimum Qualifications β€’ Programming (Python, SQL). β€’ Data Modeling principles (star schema, dimensional and fact tables, entity relationships). β€’ Data visualization techniques. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment through quick delivery and follow-up iterations. Education/Experience β€’ A bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field required. β€’ Process certifications, such as Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, and CMMI. Additional Responsibilities β€’ Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts. β€’ Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc. β€’ Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base. β€’ Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
