Role description
Responsibilities Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Data Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO. Summary: The Data Engineer will design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and architectures for large-scale data processing, storage, and analysis. The candidate is expected to provide technical leadership and implement best practices for data engineering, ensuring the data infrastructure meets the needs of the business. The individual will work closely with data analysts and other engineers to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data solutions. Responsibilities: β€’ Create and maintain scalable, reliable, consistent and repeatable systems that support data operations for Reporting, Analytics, Applications, and Data Science β€’ Gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write SQL queries, etc.) β€’ Use ETL processes in order to maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data β€’ Profile data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness β€’ Develop and implement tools, scripts, queries, and applications for ETL/ELT and data operations β€’ Design, build, and automate Machine Learning Data Pipeline β€’ Deliver solutions by developing, testing, and implementing code and scripts. Produce reports and uphold data delivery schedules β€’ Manage life cycle of multiple data sources β€’ Work closely with stakeholders on the data demand side (analysts and data scientists) β€’ Increase speed to delivery by implementing workload/workflow automation solutions β€’ Perform other duties as assigned Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science β€’ Minimum five (5) years of hands-on working experience with RDBMS, SQL, scripting, and coding β€’ Minimum three (3) years of Linux/Unix/CentOS system admin experience β€’ Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services β€’ Extensive experience with Apache Airflow β€’ Extensive coding/scripting experience using Python, R, shell scripts β€’ Extensive experience with SQL, Tableau, ML Pipeline techniques, and ETL techniques Extensive background in Linux/Unix/CentOS installation and administration; Windows experience preferred β€’ Extensive knowledge in data storage that demonstrates knowledge of when to use a file system, relational database, or NoSQL variant β€’ Extensive experience with Spark, and Hadoop/Hive β€’ Extensive familiarity with JavaScript API, Rest API or Data Extract APIs β€’ Extensive experience receiving, converting, and cleansing big data β€’ Extensive experience with visualization or BI tools, such as Tableau Extensive experience with data virtualization concepts, and software (Denodo, Teiid, JBoss) β€’ Extensive experience with data workflow/data prep platforms, such as Informatica, Pentaho, or Talend; Ability to identify and resolve end-to-end performance, network, server, and platform issues β€’ Effective attention to detail with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
