Role description
Onsite in Westlake, TX Our client seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows for Talent and HR insights. The role will maintain and evolve analytics platforms, enforce data governance, and deliver performant, reliable data solutions. You will build Alteryx workflows, develop SQL pipelines across Snowflake and SQL Server, and create interactive dashboards in Tableau and Power BI to inform leadership decisions. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $75.00 to $80.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities β€’ Build and optimize advanced Alteryx workflows to deliver scalable, reliable talent analytics and workforce insights. β€’ Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL in Snowflake and SQL Server with performance tuning and scalability. β€’ Develop, enhance, and support interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI. β€’ Partner with analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into governed, analytics-ready data solutions. β€’ Design and implement scalable data models supporting talent trends and workforce automation. β€’ Ensure data quality, accuracy, reliability, and consistency aligned to data governance standards. β€’ Establish and maintain documentation standards for pipelines, workflows, dashboards, and data definitions. β€’ Leverage Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and automate repetitive processes. β€’ Collaborate with Talent, HR, and Business leaders to deliver actionable insights and influence decisions. β€’ Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve data workflows, and enhance platform performance. β€’ Contribute within an Agile delivery model through sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement. Experience Requirements β€’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics. β€’ Strong expertise in SQL for Snowflake and SQL Server. β€’ Python for data manipulation and automation. β€’ Hands-on experience with ETL technologies and Alteryx Designer for workflow creation and optimization. β€’ Extensive experience in Tableau and Power BI, including advanced visualization and performance tuning. β€’ Experience with Power Automate for workflow automation. β€’ Solid understanding of data models (relational and dimensional) and ETL/ELT concepts and tools. β€’ API integration experience. β€’ Ability to set up monitoring, alerts, and auditing for data workflows. β€’ Knowledge of data governance fundamentals, including data security and standards. β€’ Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels with clear communication and data storytelling. β€’ Ability to translate complex analytics into actionable business insights and recommendations. Education Requirements β€’ Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
