Data Engineer

Data Platform Engineer FULLY REMOTE (USA) | 6-Month Contract-to-Hire | U.S. Citizens Only. We're seeking a Data Platform Engineer with a Healthcare background to help improve the reliability, scalability, and observability of a cloud-based data platform. What You'll Be Doing: • Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions across AWS environments • Create dashboards and proactive alerting to identify issues before they impact users • Improve platform reliability, uptime, and overall system performance • Support scalability initiatives to ensure the platform can handle future growth • Investigate production issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence • Optimize cloud infrastructure and platform performance • Partner with engineering teams to establish operational best practices and improve platform health • Drive continuous improvements around monitoring, incident management, and platform stability What You'll Need: • Healthcare industry experience • Strong AWS experience • Hands-on experience with CloudWatch and Grafana • Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, and alerting • Experience supporting and owning production environments • Background in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DataOps Bonus Skills: • Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, New Relic, OpenTelemetry • Terraform, Kubernetes, PagerDuty, or OpsGenie This is an opportunity to work on critical platform initiatives with a strong focus on operational excellence, reliability, and performance.
