Location: 100% Remote, PA-Audubon
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Data Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges.
Responsibilities
β’ Identify, create, and prepare data required for modern BI/ML solutions
β’ Build data architectures and data pipelines to collectively bring together data
β’ Design solutions using Microsoft Azure services, Databricks, and other tools
β’ Ensure that data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and optimized for storage and use according to business and technical requirements
β’ Automate tasks and deploy production standard code (with unit testing, continuous integration, versioning, etc.)
β’ Load transformed data into storage and report structures such as data warehouses, real-time reporting systems, and analytics applications
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science or similar
β’ Experience in data engineering and cloud data processing services (Azure Cloud Platform)
β’ Hands on experience in Data Warehousing and ETL tools
β’ Experience in Big Data technologies (e.g. Databricks, Alteryx)
β’ Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
β’ Knowledge of SQL and Python/PySpark
β’ Open mindset, ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, and learn new practices
β’ Communication skills
β’ Collaboration skills
β’ Presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Java, SAS
β’ Performance/security-oriented data modeling and data design, including partitions, different type of indexes, views, and most effective data management practices
β’ Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DevOps
β’ Knowledge of Purview, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau
β’ Azure Data Engineer certification
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 or the hourly equivalent.
