Data Engineer

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Data Engineer with excellent database and analytical skills to join their Customer Lifecycle Optimization (CLO) team. Summary: This role supports the data needs of all functional areas within the CLO team and collaborates across departments and reporting levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data transformation pipelines and their impact on downstream processes. This position requires adaptability to shifting priorities, continual learning, and strong problem-solving skills. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Data Engineer will work within multiple ERPs, both on-premises and cloud-based • Collaborate with IT/DBA teams to create scalable and efficient data pipelines • Ensure data validity in both content and schema • Maintain pipeline reliability and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate data flow to models and reports • As a Data Engineer, you will serve as a subject matter expert on business data aggregation from multiple sources • Perform other related duties as required Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, STEM, or a related field • 3+ years of experience with structured query languages and deep understanding of data structures • Experience working with large datasets • Strong communication skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams • Capable of managing heavy workloads and shifting priorities • Self-starter with an inquisitive mindset and interest in understanding the 'why' behind actions Preferred Qualifications • Experience in cloud computing environments (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS) • Proficiency in high-level languages such as R, Python, Scala, SAS • Basic understanding of data analytics including modeling and report building • Knowledge or experience in the energy industry is a plus The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
