The Role: Join the Trips Data Governance team in Manchester to support the vertical growth of our Cars domain. This is a hands-on role combining technical SQL/Python skills, business insight, and expert communication to ensure high-quality data across our systems. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to optimize data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Data Quality: Automate and implement DQ checks; analyze and profile data to detect issues and investigate root causes. • Governance & Compliance: Maintain the Data Dictionary, Business Glossary, and Data Lineage documentation; ensure regulatory and audit requirements are met. • Stakeholder Partnership: Quantify the impact of data issues to gain stakeholder prioritization; partner with Insights Analysts to ensure verifiable, trustworthy reporting. • Data Literacy: Develop processes and training to improve data literacy across the organization. • Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements for Master Data Management (MDM) and data modeling standards. Essential Requirements: • 1–3 years of experience in Data Governance or Data Lifecycle management. • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL and Python for complex data analysis and profiling. • Visualization: Skilled with Tableau or PowerBI. • Data Architecture: Strong understanding of Data Warehouse vs. Data Lake technologies, ETL, and data workflows. • Communication: Able to translate technical details for business audiences and influence senior managers. • Agile: Experience working within an Agile product-based organization. Desirable: • Experience with Data Governance tools like Collibra. • Background in Data Engineering or Analytics (Finance, Marketing, Sales). • Experience using AI technologies to improve governance productivity.
