Job Summary:
The Momba Group is seeking a Data Governance Consultant to ensure the integrity, quality, and usability of data assets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data governance standards and processes that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
β’ Work with stakeholders to define and implement a robust data governance framework, addressing data quality, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data privacy.
β’ Establish data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring processes to assess and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across operational systems and workflows.
β’ Develop and maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries to catalog data assets, including attributes, classifications, and relationships, ensuring data lineage, traceability, and accessibility.
β’ Implement controls to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse, adhering to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and company policies.
β’ Monitor adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. Conduct audits and collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve issues while mitigating risks.
β’ Collaborate with data domain teams, as well as groups in R&D, IT, and Commercial, to understand data requirements, align governance initiatives with business priorities, and promote stewardship best practices.
β’ Create and deliver training programs and communication materials to build awareness and adoption of governance standards. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability.
Qualifications:
Required:
β’ Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Science, or a related field.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, preferably in agriculture or manufacturing.
β’ Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and tools, with hands-on implementation experience.
β’ Proficiency in data quality assessment, metadata management, and data privacy/security practices.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
β’ Willingness to work onsite at our headquarters in Johnston, Iowa, with occasional travel as needed.

β’ Familiarity with global supply chain operations and manufacturing processes is a plus.
