Job Summary: The Momba Group is seeking a Data Governance Consultant to ensure the integrity, quality, and usability of data assets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data governance standards and processes that align with organizational goals. Responsibilities: β€’ Work with stakeholders to define and implement a robust data governance framework, addressing data quality, metadata management, master data management (MDM), and data privacy. β€’ Establish data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring processes to assess and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across operational systems and workflows. β€’ Develop and maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries to catalog data assets, including attributes, classifications, and relationships, ensuring data lineage, traceability, and accessibility. β€’ Implement controls to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse, adhering to privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and company policies. β€’ Monitor adherence to internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. Conduct audits and collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve issues while mitigating risks. β€’ Collaborate with data domain teams, as well as groups in R&D, IT, and Commercial, to understand data requirements, align governance initiatives with business priorities, and promote stewardship best practices. β€’ Create and deliver training programs and communication materials to build awareness and adoption of governance standards. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability. Qualifications: Required: β€’ Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Science, or a related field. β€’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, preferably in agriculture or manufacturing. β€’ Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and tools, with hands-on implementation experience. β€’ Proficiency in data quality assessment, metadata management, and data privacy/security practices. β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization. β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. β€’ Willingness to work onsite at our headquarters in Johnston, Iowa, with occasional travel as needed.
