Position Summary:
Capgemini is seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist with proven expertise in implementing Microsoft Purview to lead enterprise-level data governance initiatives within the investment banking sector. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and data quality management, with a strong focus on hands-on Purview implementation and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Purview for enterprise data governance.
β’ Design and deploy data governance frameworks tailored to the investment banking environment.
β’ Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business stakeholders to define metadata, data lineage, and data quality standards.
β’ Integrate Microsoft Purview with Azure Data Services, Power BI, and other enterprise platforms.
β’ Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and financial industry regulations.
β’ Provide training and support on Purview capabilities and best practices.
β’ Work onsite at the clientβs New York City office three days per week.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Purview implementation in complex enterprise environments.
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
β’ Strong knowledge of investment banking data domains and regulatory requirements.
β’ Expertise in data cataloging, classification, lineage, data quality, and policy enforcement.
β’ Familiarity with AI/ML data integration and governance best practices.
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Hands-on experience with at least one full-scale Microsoft Purview implementation.
β’ Proficiency with Azure Data Services, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
β’ Understanding of data privacy laws and risk management in financial services.
β’ Experience working in hybrid environments with cross-functional teams.
β’ Relevant certifications such as:
o Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
o Certifications in Data Governance, AI, or Azure
Work Authorization & Location Requirements:
β’ Must be based in New Jersey and able to commute to NYC three days per week."
