Role description
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Type: Consulting - Hourly (Client needs may range from part-time advisory to full-time delivery)
Overview: At SQA Group, we partner with top-tier consultants specializing in data intelligence, architecture, analytics, and engineering. As enterprise data platforms continue to evolve, Microsoftโs Fabric and Azure Data Platform are gaining strong momentum alongside established solutions like IBMโs Data Intelligence ecosystem.
Weโre proactively connecting with consultants who have experience across both IBM and Microsoft data environments, positioning for upcoming client opportunities where cloud-native, scalable, and integrated data solutions are increasingly critical. This is not a role for an immediate start, but rather a chance to get ahead of upcoming opportunities where you may be a strong match.
What We're Looking For:
Data Intelligence Ecosystem Experience:
โข Experience with one or more modern enterprise data platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric and the Azure Data Platform (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Power BI) and/or IBMโs Data Intelligence suite (e.g., Watson Knowledge Catalog, DataStage, MDM, WatsonX)
Data Integration & Automation Experience:
โข Apache Airflow, Nifi, AWS Glue, Talend, Informatica
โข Familiarity with cloud orchestration and data pipeline automation across both IBM and Microsoft ecosystems
Other Technologies of Interest:
โข Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Kafka
What Makes You a Great Fit:
โข Strong client-facing presence and ability to work in advisory or architectural roles
โข Willingness to jump into both strategic conversations and hands-on delivery
โข Ability to guide stakeholders through tool selection, data strategy, and implementation roadmaps
โข Skills or experience in building out Lakehouse and data mesh architectures
โข Familiarity with Microsoft Fabricโs integrated data experience. Including analytics, governance, and data engineering workflows - paired with a willingness to stay current with Microsoftโs evolving data roadmap
โข Fluent in DataOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for data products
โข Understanding of Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, AWS Kinesis)
